So I've posted a bit on our dog, Sadie Mae. She is our little princess, and she just turned 10 this past week. Yep, in one month the hubs turned 30 and Sadie turned 10. Big month we had. Sadie Mae is absolutely spoiled rotten; she has selective hearing (she chooses when she'd like to listen to me or the hubs--especially the hubs). Drives us nuts sometimes, but what can you do? She fills our lives with joy and always makes us feel loved.

| She's not allowed on furniture (except our bed) but couldn't refrain from snuggling with the hubs when we got back from vacation |
Many of the photos I post on Instagram are of Sadie. She gets to go for a walk every morning, gets a sip of water then high tails back up to our bedroom, jumps on the bed and goes back to sleep. Oh did I mention she sleeps in the bed with us. Yes that's a yellow lab, me, and my 6 foot 4-inches tall husband in a king size bed=we barely fit.
Did I mention she's not the best retrieving lab you've ever met. She gets pretty bored after the first through. She'd rather play with the ball by herself (only child) or have you chase her with the ball in her mouth. And the only ball she'd prefer to chase after is a big red squeaky ball inside. So I thought I'd share with you a video of her attempting to catch the ball--notice she's literally a foot away from me :)
Notice she finally caught it...so cute I know!

I know we all love our pets, so here's to our furry family members that brighten our day and make us feel special and loved! Do you have any pets? If so, what kind?

Happy birthday Miss Sadie Mae!! What a precious furball! <3 <3
ReplyDeleteMiss Sadie is surely living the life. Had to put down my good friend of 16 years this past fall. Buster was a beagle. I was there for his first breath and his last. I still have a 4 year old Golden Retriever - Miss Brandy. She's obsessed with tennis balls. She has learned to 'throw' them at me when she wants to play.
ReplyDeleteOh I'm so sorry Richard. I'm so glad that you got to enjoy 16 wonderful years with your pup, and I know it was the best 16 years for him as well. We dread the day we will have to do that for Sadie, but we are enjoying her! I'm so glad you have Miss Brandy (I love her name btw). That's awesome, Miss Brandy sounds like a much better retrieving dog than ours :)
DeleteHere, here!
ReplyDeleteWhat would we do without our furry friends. I think Sadie is a doll.
Happy Sunday.
