Weekend Fun

Hello sweets!  I hope your weekend has started off on a good foot.  Ours sure has.  Last night we took our good friends, Donna and Jimmy to do dinner to celebrate her birthday.  We had a wonderful time, and as usual lots of food and alcohol was consumed.

Today I have my first Junior League placement event.  We are putting on a bowling event for The ARC of South Carolina, so I'm a little nervous but excited to see how this first event with The ARC goes.  Oh did I mention I'm the subgroup leader, which means I'm a little in charge of all the events we host for The ARC?!  We have three more events this year after today.  I'll let ya know how it goes.  Unfortunately, I won't be able to take any photos to share with you due to a privacy policy, but I'm hoping to get a few of us ladies to share.

After our bowling event this afternoon, I desperately need to clean my house.  There are Sadie hair tumbleweeds everywhere (I can't believe I'm admitting this to you...so ashamed).  After today though my floors will look just as new.  Did I mention I hate cleaning?!  I need a maid!

Anyhoo, yesterday I went shopping for a little bit while I was having my rings re-rhodium plated and cleaned at the jewelry store.  So since this upcoming Friday night, there is the Villa de Luxe Designer Show House 2013 opening soiree, I thought I would like to get a new dress.  The theme for the soiree is Speakeasy, but you do not have to dress in theme.  At first, I thought I'd try to find a dress that was 20's inspired, but those style dresses look awful on me.  It was pretty easy finding 20's inspired dresses, but wearing those style dresses looks like I'm wearing a large sack on my body and let me tell you that is not flattering.  I need to be taller and thinner with no hips to pull it off, and God just didn't give me that shape.

I've narrowed it down to two options: a white dress (which will need a bit of altering) and a navy jumpsuit (this is my top choice and only hemming will need to be done).  You tell me which one I should wear.

Also, I thought I'd share with you the other dresses I tried on, and how my hair looks after putting it into a ponytail and putting on and pulling off clothes.  I look insane!

I really liked the art deco pattern at the bottom of this dress, but I wasn't so sure about this one.  It was kind of ehh.

This one wasn't too bad, but after I took the dress off, I saw some hair that I knew wasn't mine stuck in the beads and I got so grossed out, I thought I was going to throw up.  I don't do other people's hair...yuck and ew!!  Notice my fly aways.

Fly aways!!!  I can't stop them from having a mind of their own even if I use hairspray!!

This was just awful!!  I look like I'm wearing a sack and a size 20!

Happy Saturday!!!
